Buzz Lighting is a residential and commercial lighting installer based in Mississauga, Ontario. This page explains what happens to the information you give us through this website.

What we collect

Only what you type into the estimate form: your name, your email address and/or phone number, your city, the height of your property, which service you are interested in, and anything you write in the message field.

We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this website, and you should never send them to us by email.

What we do with it

It is emailed to the owner so that he can prepare your estimate and get back to you. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask to be on.

The email is delivered through Resend, an email service provider, which processes the message in order to deliver it. Where the site is hosted, Vercel processes the request in order to serve the page to you.

Cookies and tracking

There is no advertising cookie and no advertising pixel on this site. We do not sell or share anything with ad networks, and nothing here follows you to other websites.

We do use Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling, and a replay of the mouse or finger movement through a visit — so we can see where this website is confusing and fix it. Clarity sets its own cookies and masks text input by default, so what you type into the estimate form is not captured by it. The form itself is a separate thing: what you deliberately submit comes to us by email, as described above.

You can opt out of this. Every current browser has a Do Not Track setting, which Clarity honours, and browsing in a private window keeps nothing between visits. Blocking it changes nothing about the site or about getting a quote from us.

How long we keep it

Estimate enquiries are kept for as long as they are commercially useful — typically while a quote is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Contact us and we will action it.
